More Local Crafty Holiday Gifts

If you're not at the Nugget Mall right now you may be missing one of the last great craft fairs of the season.  But never fear!  Homespun Mercantile is coming to the rescue.  This lovely little shop located between Curves and Martha's flowers at the Airport Shopping Center in Juneau, is full of gifts galore handmade locally.  Shall we take a peek?

Pick up your holiday decor from beaded ornaments (far above) to wreaths, jewelry in the form of santa earrings and more.  Plus the delicious spicy soaps there make it smell like the holidays.

Always wondering what to get a guy, especially when you're trying for handmade?  They've got it covered with hand carved walking sticks, fish gaffs, slingshots, and even furniture.  Some are even carved from devil's club, a local thorn in our side.  Perhaps this is your guys chance at revenge!

Variety abounds if what you seek is pottery.  Fun patterns, dreamy glazes, and all with functionality.

Of course my favorite was the "yarn bell" which helps a knitter in need of a third hand!  These are sure to be sold out soon.  Also find the yarn bell online at fivefingerpottery.etsy.com.

For those with childlike imaginations (ie. children and adults!) find these whimsical secret books.  The pages are removed so it is a perfect hidey-hole for all your treasures.  Also, find boxes made from used board games for the youthful at heart.

With more than 14 crafters you'll be sure to find something that tickles your fancy, or that of your loved ones.  Stop by and check them out!
